Sliding Glass Arcadia Doors Open Your House to The Outside
A Sliding Glass Door or Arcadia Door is a cost effective way to allow you to keep the heat and cold out while allowing you to bring the outside in by having a glass door to view the outside with. These doors typically go great in a living room or as an exit to a master bedroom into the back yard.
Why Is A Sliding Glass Door Called An Arcadia Door?
The term Arcadia Door comes from the Arcadia Door Company, one of the original leaders in, and perhaps the inventor of, these types of sliding glass doors. Not that the Arcadia Door Company wasn’t making good sliding glass doors, but they have gone on to bigger and better things, such as glass for office buildings, condo towers, and commercial work. They no longer are offering an updated version that sliding glass door which you might be thinking of replacing, but don’t worry – we have everything from basic Low-E, Dual Pane, replacement sliding doors to exceptional wood clad sliding glass doors where the interior of the door can be matched to your cabinets or trim.
As an independent dealer, Elite Architectural Supply has access to multiple product lines including:

We suggest that you look at these options and then ideally discuss your application with one of our sales staff. With so many options and so many manufacturers, it is important for you to understand what you are buying and why you want to consider it. For instance, on the MI line of windows above which are our most popular, you might want to consider a Series 5000 which is a very good quality aluminum patio door. But, then if you have more sun exposure and a bit higher budget, you can upgrade to the Homemaker 3 which is an insulated vinyl patio door. Or, perhaps if you have a house with very large picture windows and you want to match all of those windows with the door, then might not be able to use vinyl due to larger windows not being offered in a vinyl product and have to either step either down to the Series 5000 Aluminum or up to the Regal View Aluminum Thermally Broken.
Which Sliding Glass Door Is Right For My House?
While we make Sliding Glass Doors simple, every house is different and every line is different. For instance, if you need a patio door for a larger 1950 ranch style house in Phoenix you would likely need an aluminum product to allow for larger door and window sizes. But, if you had a 1950 Sun City Ranch style house, this typically will have smaller windows allowing you to choose between vinyl or aluminum windows. Got a 1979 stucco ranch style house in Scottsdale, the HOA may require larger windows of a certain color which typically moves us to an aluminum product if you want to maintain large picture windows free of obstructions. With windows, there is a lot of product knowledge that requires someone to explain how it is going to fit into your houses.
Not Just One Manufacturer of Sliding Glass Doors, But Multiple Manufacturers.
We also have access to many other manufacturers not listed here which might meet your needs if you have a desire for something more modern, classic, or depending on budget you may also wish to consider French Doors or a Bi-Folding Door as different, but typically more expensive alternative to a sliding glass door
Which Glass Should I Choose For My Sliding Glass Door?
We also offer various types of Low-E Glass for these doors. Don’t get boxed in by a local manufacturer or a captive dealer with only one product line or without all of the differing glass selections. Make the right choice when replacing your Sliding Glass Door at an independent dealer with access to multiple product lines.
